CBHS International has partnered with Cub Care to provide consults with paediatric emergency physicians for our members* with children aged newborn to 15 years. A paediatrician is a doctor who specialises in treating infants and children.

Cub Care is FREE for most CBHS International Health members*. To avoid high out-of-pocket costs DO NOT go to a public hospital emergency department unless it is an emergency.

An emergency is any medical problem that causes extreme pain, severe blood loss, or could cause death or permanent injury if not treated quickly. An example of an emergency is struggling to breathe, going into early labour (childbirth) or being hit by a car. If you have an emergency, call 000.

They can see your child for:

Visit Cub Care or call 1800 312 611 and tell them you are a CBHS International member. They will conduct an eligibility check using your CBHS International Health membership number. Once confirmed as a member, they will bill us directly. There will be no out-of-pocket costs for you*.

*A child receiving care from CubCare needs to be an active and financial CBHS International Health member. Refer to your level of health cover for eligibility, service limits, benefits, and any applicable waiting periods. OVHC Base Hospital policy holders are not eligible for no out-of-pocket costs for this service.
